Feed My Starving Children (Miscellaneous)
In February, thousands of NW Arkansas community members will work to feed thousands of starving children in the developing world. Through a partnership between Christ the King Lutheran Church, Bentonville, many other local churches and groups and Minneapolis-based Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), volunteers will prepare 1 Million life-saving meals at an FMSC MobilePackTM event. The MobilePack will take place February 23-26, 2012 at XNA airport, Regional Jet Center 12344 Tower Dr, Bentonville.Community members can support this MobilePack by making a donation or by volunteering to package food at the event. NWA Beautiful Girls Retreat! (Community Outreach)
Location: The Embassy Suites, Rogers Ar
Registration ends in February, 2012:Beautiful Girl's Retreat is a community-based teaching event. The theme, "Unmasked" will encourage and equip girls as they identify the things they hide behind and disguise. Come and learn authentic faith, beauty, and relationship. Challenging girls to live in grace, forgiveness, and stand firm for Christ. Experience a masquerade ball theme, Italian Dinner visual arts ministry (video skits, dance, music) and worship with Neil Greenhaw. Feline Friends Adoption (Pet Adoption)
Location: Petsmart of Rogers
Feline Friends will be holding an adoption event at Pet Smart in Rogers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday February 3, 4th and 5th. Kittens and cats looking for forever homes will be up for adoption. Benefit Auction for Ranea Towler (Benefit)

Ranea was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about a month ago. She is now in Little Rock and began both chemo and radiation treatment on 1/19/12. Both treatments are needed due to the cancer being located on an artery and surgery is not an option at this time. Doctors are hoping that with both treatments that the cancer will shrink enough that surgery can and will be an option.At this time, there is no insurance but UAMS in Little Rock is helping us with that. All proceeds will go to related expenses for treatment, medicines, travel, special diet, etc.We are accepting donations for the auction. Please make sure any donated items are in good, clean and workgin condition.
