The Bentonville High School Theatre Department presents the World Premiere of a new adaptation of the classic play, RUR, which originated the word "robot." This is not a mere translation but a brand new version that is more relevant to a modern audience with a streamlined plot and dynamic characters. This darkly comic play explores the dangerous consequences of out-of-control technological progress, man's pride in perfecting nature and the regenerating power of innocent love. Bentonville High School is very fortunate to be the very first theatre program in the world to stage this cleverly witty and action packed satire on the pros and cons of being human. *Please note this performance is for audiences ages 13 and up*
