FaithLife Connections (Lecture)
Location: First Christian Church, Fayetteville
Created by Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, OK, and featuring the seminary’s faculty, FaithLife Connections is designed to help people develop the tools to connect faith with daily life. The third presenter in the Fayetteville area will be Dr. Sarah Morice Brubaker, Assistant Professor of Theology at PTS. Her discussion topic will be “What is the Good Life? Pie/Silent auction (Fundraiser)
Location: Prairie Grove Legion
There will be a Pie/Silent auction from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Glen Goodhart 55 years old passed away suddenly from a heart attack August 11th. He had no burial coverage. This fundraiser will help pay for that. If you cannot make it you can go to Arvest Bank and donate to the Glen Goodhart fund.
Tour de Cure (Charity Event)

The American Diabetes Association invites you to our 2013 Northwest Arkansas Tour de Cure. Join us on October 5th to ride, run, and walk in the fight to Stop Diabetes. The event includes a 100 mile, 62.5 mile, 50 mile, 20 mile, and family ride plus 5K walk/run followed by a health festival featuring fun, food, and entertainment for the whole family.Event Information:Register at www.diabetes.org/nwatour. Heritage League Rummage Sale (Rummage Sale)

The Siloam Springs Heritage League is holding a huge rummage sale, Saturday October 5th 7:30am-1:00pm. Items will include furniture, baby and children's toys, clothes and household items. Proceeds benefit Heritage League projects such as, local scholarships, area families in need, and the Siloam Springs Christmas Parade.
Pedalfest (Community Event)

Would you like to be better prepared and have more confidence in making decisions?Credit Counseling of Arkansas (CCOA) presents a Home Buyer Education Class the first Saturday of each month from 9 am to 5 pm to educate potential home buyers and enable them to make wise decisions. The program is a pre-requisite for several of the Arkansas Development Finance Authority financing options.We will cover the entire home buying process, from deciding to purchase, to moving in. 4th Annual Armed Forces Benefit Motorcycle Ride (Benefit)

Operation Renewal is hosting a benefit motorcycle ride to raise money for resources that help strengthen and create deeper relationships in military families between spouses, parents and their children who are affected by deployment. We will be honoring one of these families at our event.The benefit ride will be Saturday, October 5th. Pre-registration is $20.00 per rider. Registration on event day is from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and is $25.00 per rider. For the first 30 individuals to sign up they will receive a collectable t-shirt free of charge. Riders will start from and end at VFW Post 1674, 830 S. Lincoln St., (SR 59 S.), Siloam Springs. Operation Christmas Child Kickoff Event (Non-Profit Event)

A kick-off event that provides those in attendance with information about how this project is impacting children around the world, Operation Christmas Child materials and how people can get involved. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, which has since 1993, delivered more than 100 million gift-filled shoeboxes to needy children worldwide. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the project expects to collect another 9.8 million shoebox gifts in 2013. Though items like toys, pencils, notebooks, shirts and soap are easily taken for granted, these basic items can make a significant difference in the lives of hurting children around the world, many of whom have never received a gift before along with a message of hope in Jesus Christ.
13th Annual NWA International Festival (Community Event)

The 13th Annual NWA International Festival and 6th Annual International Fashion Show is a fun, family-centered event and will feature traditional ethnic foods, cultural exhibits, international dancing, music, free children's activities and an international fashion show at 1 p.m. More than 50 countries will be represented at the 13th Annual International Festival. The entire event is free and offers interesting activities and fun for all ages.The goal of the International Festival is to promote, educate and serve the diverse cultural interests of Rogers and Northwest Arkansas. The event is reflective of the diverse population of the Northwest Arkansas community. The 13th annual International Festival will showcase and allow interaction with the different cultures, costumes, traditions and languages of our community.

Open Studio "Arkansas Barns" by artist George Dombek (Art Show)

George Dombek, acclaimed artist, invites the public to his studio to view his latest project – Arkansas Barns. This series, using Dombek's unique style and perspective, centers on watercolor paintings of barns from all over the state. The open studio will also feature many of his earlier works. Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM (PDT) Zeb was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma in June of 2013. Part of the tumor was removed, however the cost of treatment and hospital bills is very high. Unfortunately, he does not have health insurance at this time. We are trying to help alleviate the stress of medical bills, as he has not being able to put in his full work schedule. This fundraising event will include a 5K run, 1 mile family fun run/walk, cookout, kids zone, silent auction, and live music (including Lot-44 and The Overseer).
