Cookbook Love Letter to Hot and Spicy Jellies (Public Service Announcement)
Location: N/A
Pittsburgh, Pa. (October 4, 2012) - First, it was hot sauce and salsa that grabbed us by the taste buds...and now it's pepper jellies. Sweet Heat (St. Lynn's Press, Oct. 15, 2012) is a single-ingredient cookbook by Hillary Danner and Maria Newman, the gourmet condiment ladies from Jenkins Jellies. The starring ingredient is their hot 'n sweet, mostly-organic and devilishly popular Hell Fire Pepper Jelly. Gwyneth Paltrow gives an enthusiastic thumbs-up in her foreword to the book, and on her lifestyle blog GOOP.Chef Mario Batali says: "Jenkins Jellies Hell Fire Pepper Jelly is my new condiment of choice. It dances right on the edge of spicy and sweet in a delicious tango of provocation and pleasure. One warning: it is highly addictive!"Daphne Oz, co-host of TV's The Chew, says:"Forget a pinch of salt or spoonful of sugar. All you need is some Hell Fire! In your hands is a veritable treasure trove of deliciously easy and sinfully flavorful recipes starring one of my favorite culinary finds? My advice: buy in bulk!"With recipes from family, friends, chefs and fans, Hillary and Maria dish up 50 smile-inducing, eye-watering ways to add pizzazz to everyone's favorite treats - from kickin' appetizers to smokin' desserts.
