Fueling Good (Competition)
Location: Online
The Samaritan Community Center is participating in a promotion with Citgo entitled FuelingGood in which 12 charities will receive one year’s worth of fuel for their organization vehicles. The organizations with the largest number of on-line votes will win. Voting begins today and continues every day through November 28th.
Coat Drive (Clothing Drive)
Time: 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM
Location: Starbucks Fayetteville
City Point Church is joining with Starbucks on College & Joyce and Starbucks on MLK in Fayetteville to collect new or gently used coats for the youth of Fayetteville. We will be collecting the coats November 12-24 at both Starbucks locations.
Springdale Police Dept. Turkey Trot 5K/1 Mile Fun Walk (Walk/Run)
Time: 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Location: Arvest Ball Park, 3000 S. 56th St., Springdale, AR
Annual 5K/1 Mile Fun Walk to raise money for the Springdale Police Department Benevolent Fund and SantaCop Program.
Free Thanksgiving Dinner (Thanksgiving Event)
Time: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Location: Charity Baptist Church, Rogers
This Thanksgiving day, Chef Chervanwak, Chef Michelle Lambert with The Stamp out Hunger Campaign will be serving a free Thanksgiving dinner to anyone who would like to join them for Thanksgiving dinner and an afternoon of entertainment and fellowship. They are also going to be delivering meals to the elderly or shut-ins who cannot get out to come, so if you know anyone please call the phone number below. They will set up delivery times. I am sure since this is community event it they will designate area they can deliver too when you call. (If you want to volunteer for helping in any way during the day or with the entertainment please call 479-372-7236.) This is the number also for making the appointment for delivery for shut-ins, and elderly also and any question.
Healing Room (Community Outreach)
Time: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Location: River of Life Church, Bentonville
Sandy and Wayne Warmack, state directors for John G. Lake Ministries, are available to minister in physical healing each thursday. Walk-ins are welcome. The ministry is based on scriptual based instruction. For more information, go to www.gwhr.us
