National Public Library Week (Library Event)
Location: Barnes and Noble in Rogers

The Rogers Public Library is celebrating National Public Library Week with a book fair at the Barnes and Noble in Rogers on Wednesday, April 17. Judy Casey, Rogers Public Library Director is available for interviews.

6th Annual Wildcat Rumble 5k and Mile Fun Run (Registration)
Time: 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM
Location: Elm Tree Elementary, Bentonville, AR

A portion of all proceeds support the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter. 5k-$20, mile-$10. Registration after May 8: 5k-$25 and mile-$15. Fast and flat, Professionally timed, and trophies Awarded

Growing Opportunities Inc. Pilot Project (Community Outreach)
Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: Tontitown, Arkansas

We are piloting a project meant to assist those with "agriculture" disabilities, or "brown thumbs." We are holding classes in Tontitown offering instruction on everything from seed planting, to transplanting to a garden. Including hands on experience with farm animals, and for those interested, support with an entry in the Washington County Fair. We will meet on Saturday's bimonthly through May for 6 sessions.
