Shooting for Scholars (Fundraiser)
Location: Washington County Sheriff's Office, Fayetteville

The Washington County 4-H Foundation is a nonprofit organization and will host the first annual Shooting for Scholars, an event consisting of shooting competitions, live and silent auctions, educational exhibits, and lunch for $5 a person, on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., to raise funds for youth development programs and scholarships.

Growing Opportunities Inc. Pilot Project (Community Outreach)

Location: Tontitown, Arkansas

We are piloting a project meant to assist those with "agriculture" disabilities, or "brown thumbs." We are holding classes in Tontitown offering instruction on everything from seed planting, to transplanting to a garden. Including hands on experience with farm animals, and for those interested, support with an entry in the Washington County Fair. We will meet on Saturday's bimonthly through May for 6 sessions. Arkansas Philharmonic Concert: Rachmaninoff (Concert)

Pianist and Fayetteville native, Jonathan Story, will perform Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2. Dubbed "Fayetteville's Piano Man" by the Northwest Arkansas Times, Story has collaborated with the North Arkansas Symphony, the University of Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and The Arkansas Philharmonic. The winner of the 2013 University of Arkansas Concerto/Aria Competition will also be a featured soloist during this concert.
