All are welcomed to join Forgottensong (non-profit) for a bicycle ride from Fayetteville to Dallas, Texas. The event will be in late May so that students may also participate. CBCO needs your help to meet the growing need for blood in the Ozarks. Eligibility requirements include weighing at least 110 pounds, being in general good health and present required ID. Literacy Council of Benton County will train you as a certified volunteer English as Second Language Tutor or Adult Basic Language tutor. Only English is spoken in class; you do not need to know a second language to tutor, nor do you need a college degree. The training sessions are relaxed and fun; in a little under nine hours (4 hours of courses taken on-line in your home and 4.5 hours in a group with our Certified Tutor Trainer) you will have the tools and materials necessary to give an adult the gift of literacy.
