It's What We Learned Friday!! This week, Ansen and I learned about caffeine, classic kid arguments, and... wait for it... llamas! (It was definitely an interesting week.)
This week on the KLRC Drive-Home, Kara talked about how a friend told her these words: "I just feel so behind."
Many of us have probably uttered that phrase regarding some aspect of our lives. It could be related to relationships, work, parenting, or something else entirely! But if everyone feels like they're "behind," does that mean we aren't really behind? Who are we comparing ourselves to, anyway?
It's another Friday, which means it's time again to reflect on what we learned on the Drive-Home this week!
Kara read a blog post from Nikki Thompson, who shared some words from her husband that we found encouraging.
This week on the Drive Home, we successfully solved the mysterious case of the sticky mouse (computer, not animal) in the studio.
We also talked about how sometimes we talk about being busy like it's a badge of honor. Spoiler alert, it's not.
It's another "What We Learned" Friday here on the Drive-Home!
This week on the show, Kara had "Beauty and the Beast" fever. The animated classic was one of Kara's favorite childhood movies, so she went to go see the new adaptation last weekend. We had some fun chatting about how Kara got "A Tale as Old as Time" stuck in my head (thanks a lot for that, by the way), and how she had to explain to her friend that she has no problem seeing a good movie multiple times.
I can feel its invisible presence this week. Like the hot air filling up the inside of a balloon. Only instead of lifting me off the ground in freedom – it feels like I might explode any second.
That metaphor took a weird turn and I suddenly feel like I’m talking about pregnancy. Which is something I have zero experience with. However, there is something I do have a lot of experience with: anxiety.
I haven't been journaling a lot lately. I’ve been feeling a little bit paralyzed I guess. And yet there's a lot going on inside me that feels like it needs to be expressed. Or something.
There's been a bit of controversy that started during last weekend's Super Bowl halftime show featuring Lady Gaga. Many people on social media sites began deriding the performer for her "flabby" stomach.
It's another "What We Learned Friday" on the Drive-Home! There were several things Kara and I discovered this week, but none was more important to me than learning that "The Last Jedi" will be the title of Star Wars Episode XIII.
Let's be real for a second. We like to have fun on the Drive Home. Our two favorite topics are probably food and cats. But once in a while we also like to dive into subjects that are "less fun," and wrestle through the tough stuff together.
