What is Sharathon? Why, every March, do we take three or four days to ask our listeners for financial support?
Well, KLRC is a listener-funded ministry. The generous financial support of people like you who love and appreciate the ministry of KLRC is what keeps us going. Literally. But that's the easy answer.
Yes, we need your support to keep KLRC running, but why is that worth giving to?
At KLRC, we’re so excited to be celebrating 30 years of serving our community!
For many years we’ve had the privilege to partner with so many organizations making a Positive Difference. As we get ready for our annual Sharathon, we wanted to do something special with our friends at Samaritan Community Center.
I don’t know about you, but I’m a planner. When I set out on a journey, I want to know where I’m going and how I’m going to get there. I like to plan for contingencies, research the area I’ll be visiting, and gather as much information as I can before I start my trip.
Recently I read about Abram. He went on a little journey with God. He had no idea where they were going, only that God was calling him to follow. So in faith, Abram stepped out from what he knew and stepped into an unknown future. It’s easy for you and I to not be surprised by Abram’s decision. After all, we know where he winds up.
My two-year-old grandson, Luke, stood at the edge of the pool, wearing floaties and sweet little goggles that made him look like a frog.
He came close and backed away several times. I slipped next to him and held him close. Into the water we went.
"I got you, buddy. I got you," I whispered.
It's an extra special Family Fun Friday this week! Third Day and friends are coming to Tulsa and we want to send you and your friends!
This Friday listen for your chance to win a 4-pack of tickets to see Brandon Heath, Mandisa, Third Day and more in Tulsa on March 15th.
I smile at a new picture of my niece and nephews on Facebook. They're with their mom at Chick-fil-A.
It seems normal to me. It's hard to admit, but if I'm honest? Most of the time I don't think about the fact that there are probably kids their age down the street... who will go to bed hungry tonight. While other kids are excited for the weekend, they will wonder what they're going to eat without the school lunch to count on. I can't imagine what it feels like to hear your precious 2 year old say she's hungry, and not be able to meet that need. There are a lot of people in Northwest Arkansas who don't have to imagine it. Because they're living it...
“Your taxes are ready to file, Mr. Jones, you are going to get $3,000 back this year!” Those are words we love to hear! A tax refund!
The question is, “What should I do with my refund this year?”
Sharathon 2014 is coming up March 18th-21st, and we need your help to make it happen!
It takes a lot of people to pull Sharathon together. Imagine -- several thousand phone calls over a few days on 10 phone lines. Plus, a prayer room with at least one person scheduled to pray during every hour of the event! That's why KLRC relies on our amazing volunteers to make Sharathon a success!
Welcome to the new KLRC.com! We've updated literally everything about KLRC's online services, and we're super excited to finally unveil these upgrades!

You don't have to try so hard. I know sometimes you think you do. There's a place inside that worries if you let up for even just a little while that it may all fall apart, that you may fall apart.
But here's the secret: you don't have to hold yourself, your life, this world together. That's far too much for any of us.
