If we could have coffee today, I'd say, "You're not alone."

We all have moments when we feel alone. In a world where everyone seems to be connected, it seems ironic that studies show we’re more isolated than ever before. That sense of separateness can create cracks that let lies slip in to our hearts...

My two-year-old grandson, Luke, stood at the edge of the pool, wearing floaties and sweet little goggles that made him look like a frog.

He came close and backed away several times. I slipped next to him and held him close. Into the water we went.

"I got you, buddy. I got you," I whispered.

“Your taxes are ready to file, Mr. Jones, you are going to get $3,000 back this year!” Those are words we love to hear! A tax refund!

The question is, “What should I do with my refund this year?”

You don’'t have to try so hard. I know sometimes you think you do. There’'s a place inside that worries if you let up for even just a little while that it may all fall apart, that you may fall apart.

But here’'s the secret: you don'’t have to hold yourself, your life, this world together. That'’s far too much for any of us.
