Good Morning! Did you know that over 60% of employees are unhappy in their jobs?  We spent the morning talking with Life Coach, Dr. Joey Faucette, about the 5 Key Questions - questions you can ask yourself to evaluate your work situation - and the L.I.S.T.E.N. process - inner and outer work you can do to improve your situation.  If you would like an outline of this information, please call 1-877-4-DRJOEY or email him at DrJoey@listentolife.org. I am so excited!!  Tomorrow morning we will be announcing the winner of the Girl's Get-A-Way Cruise to Cozumel, Mexico.  This girl received over 65% of the votes...

The first day of school...

We hope that this time has been a special time for you.  Perhaps filled with tears and maybe in some cases, even some cheers.  This morning Jen shared the following thought from the book "Hugs: to wrap around your heart"(page58-59):"While you've gone about the rigorous routines of motherhood, little eyes have watched and little minds and hearts have been shaped for eternity.  Your young pupils have learned of sacrificial love as they've seen you take the last and least so others can have more.  They've learned to distinguish right from wrong as they've observed your life of honesty and integrity. ...

Hello! Thanks to our vocalists who called in and sang us Christmas Carols!  That was a "cool" treat on what is expected to be another toasty day! We spoke with Glenda Clare about back to school organization tips.  Her advice:  keep once place for backpacks.  Preferably not on the kitchen table or counter.  Also, if you are like me and want to be involved in your children's school, just let the teachers know.  You won't be a pest and most teachers like to know that you are interested in being a part of your child's experience.   And today is a big day in the Ryan Household...

Good Morning!Mark started our morning by sharing this "Positive Thought of the Day" written by Jason Gray: We drove over the bridge about three hours earlier that day. We couldn't believe our eyes as we got home and images started coming in of the fallen bridge that just a short time earlier we drove over without a care or thought.  With the dust now settling, some want to blame inspectors, some politicians, and yet others wonder where God was in all this.  As the search begins for whose doorstep to lay the blame of this misfortune on I suppose it was...

The Michaels Family pet fish, Anna-Belle, has passed away.  The family had a small memorial service last night in the open lot next to their home.  Please feel free to leave your condolences on the blog.   Thank you so much to everyone who called or emailed their encouraging words for the twins' first day of kindergarten!  I can't tell you how touched I am that so many of you took the time to call or write.  Thank you for your understanding and your sweet words! Glenda Clare reminded us that parents can be weepy, but NOT in front of their children.  Our...

Hello! Mark and I (and Cheryl from Bentonville) kicked off "Operation Skillet" this morning.  In an effort to prepare our area teens for the reality of getting up early to head back to school, we are encouraging parents to wake up their children with a skillet and spoon while shouting, "Good Morning, Sunshine!"  This morning's call was hilarious...well, maybe not to the two unsuspecting Bentonville teens!  Thank you, Cheryl!  As a result of your bravery, you are our $20 CBO gift card winner, and will also receive the 10th Anniversary Edition of "Hugs."  Teens, you won't wake up empty-handed.  You'll receive a...
