Hi, my name is Charity. I have two beautiful children and a wonderful husband that encourages me through everything we are going through.
Ten years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a chronic pain disorder. My children were 2 and 4 at the time. Every day has been hard since then as I force one foot to move forward, then the next, moving slowly step by step. I searched and searched for resources to help me be a godly wife and mother to my children, but I found very little. One book to help you cope with chronic illness was all I found. I only knew one other person who had chronic illness, but she was God's gift to me.
My daughter grew up listening to KLRC. As an adult, she added other music genres to her playlist and car radio. Recently, however, each time I got in her car, I noticed she was tuned in to KLRC.
This last year has been really hard for me. I lost my dad to brain cancer six years ago, a day after Christmas. Every Christmas I think of him, because that's the last day I saw him. Then I lost my sister to cancer back in September of last year, so it's been a rough year for me and my family.
As you know, last year we lost my best friend at work the day after Christmas. After that the year went by in a flash. One hurdle after another, but we Praised God all the way.
My mom has passed away recently from cancer. All my life, she encouraged me to listen to KLRC, and if we were in another state she had me listen to that area's Christian radio station. When she passed, I turned to you guys and listened to Christian music on YouTube just to get me through the day.
I'm from North Carolina and found KLRC's app when trying to find a station with good contemporary gospel music. My K-LOVE app was not playing well and I found your app and I love it!
In listening to your radio station and how each one of you present Jesus with His character shining through all of you, you are touching nations. What a glorious honor to be able to hear and connect with others of the body of Christ like we get to do through the radio station.
On what seemed like a regular day to me, March 27th, 2016, I went to church. I woke up feeling like, "This is just like any other day. I will go to church to get it over with." Little did I know that the Lord would call me and change my life forever.
When my husband and I first got together, he was a Jehovah's Witness. I was a Christian and listened to your station and talked about God a lot, and one day my husband started listening to your station himself.
