Big Brothers Big Sisters

When I think back over my life about the things that have made the biggest difference to me mentoring is at the top of the list. The men and women who have poured into me through the gift of their time have shaped my life.

When I think of mentoring one of the first things that comes to mind it Big Brothers Big Sisters. For over 20 years they have been changing the lives of children in Northwest Arkansas through mentoring. They match children who live in poverty, have an incarcerated parent, or who lives in a single parent household with a mentor who meets with them a few times a month for a minimum of one year.

Mentoring helps at-risk youth overcome many of the challenges they face, and they both have a lot of fun in the process.

If you’d like more information about how you can mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters you can find out what is involved here. You can mentor on your own, as a couple, or as a family.
