“I started giving to KLRC when I was in 3rd grade, now I’m in 5th grade and I just love giving to KLRC.”
Genna likes to drop by the KLRC studios during our fundraisers. She’s so faithful that we’ve started looking for her smiling face to come through the doors. And she showed up bright and early on Day 1 of the Fall Fundraiser. With $10.51. Money she earned herself that she wanted to give to KLRC.
Our fall fundraiser is officially underway! In many ways, this week is all about crossing the finish line. We started the year with a big goal – to fully fund KLRC operations for a full year and to finish funding the biggest expansion project in KLRC history.
We begin the week with hearts that are full of gratitude because thanks to a lot of friends this spring, we’re already 82% toward hitting these exciting goals!
It’s Fall Fundraiser time at KLRC! Your support this week will not only help complete the funding for KLRC operations, but will also help finish the funding for KLRC’s biggest ministry expansion ever – our new signal at 90.9 FM.
As an investor in this ministry, we'd love to share some detail with you about how we steward the gifts that God entrusts to us through you.
The numbers below will provide detail on our budget for July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.
It took me a while to get a radio, but my Grandma sent me some Christmas money and the first thing I bought was a radio. I would take the antenna and stick it to the top of my metal bunk and then wrap it around my toe and stick my foot up in the window with the cord so that I could hear. People would laugh at me when they walked by my room but I was going to do whatever it took.
Tanya called KLRC earlier today to make a pledge. As she was on the phone with one of our volunteers she started to tell them about how God used KLRC to rescue her from a 14 year drug addiction while she was in prison serving a 25 year sentence.
This week, we have a very special opportunity to not only make a Positive Difference by sharing hope through uplifting music, but also by helping feed the hungry in our community and around the world!
This summer I was in one of our Oklahoma communities. It's a place where my cell phone could barely get a signal, but KLRC's 90.9 signal came in loud and clear.
While I was there, I met a sweet young lady who was so excited to tell me how God uses KLRC in her heart.
As we approach KLRC's Fall Fundraiser (October 6th-8th), we felt like it was only appropriate to start with prayer. Prayer is what fuels the ministry of KLRC and we very much value those who are called to intercede for us.
Join the team and help support KLRC through prayer!
Kiersten reached out to us on Twitter with a simple statement, "2.5 months ago I had a car accident that broke my neck. Listening to #KLRC this morning kept me calm as I drove for the first time since!"
140 characters wasn't nearly enough for us, so we asked Kiersten, "What's the rest of your story?"
It was hot the day she stopped by the live remote with her daughters to share her story. But once she started talking, I was completely unaware of the temperature. I’m pretty sure her face was actually glowing as she shared with us how God had used KLRC to give her hope during a difficult season.
"Three years ago I was in an MRI machine, and I was concerned about what it was going to show, because we knew it was going to be hard. And the song, 'There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain,’ came on."
Can a taxi ride change somebody’s life for eternity? It can – and I’m not talking about the cab experience you had that made you think the afterlife was coming sooner than expected! I’m talking about a true life-change moment between a taxi driver, his passenger, a loving God, and your partnership with KLRC.
About ten minutes before Casting Crowns was to take the stage in Springdale this past July, someone working security (let’s call him Jeff) got my attention. Jeff wanted to share a story with me. You see, when Jeff isn’t working events, he’s busy driving people all over NWA in his taxi.
