"I used to live at the Salvation Army and was able to save up money so I could get a place to live. When I got there all I had were the clothes on my back. Now I have an apartment of my own. I started listening to KLRC and the music helped me find God and give up drugs and alcohol." –James, Rogers
Often we see homeless people at busy intersections, and we want to do something. I have good news for you – this is your moment to do something!
At KLRC, we’re excited to be partnering with another great organization that makes a positive difference among our community. Established locally in 1896, The Salvation Army has been providing healthy meals 365 days a year. In our listening area, ANYONE in need of food can come to a Salvation Army Kitchen and be fed for free.
The balloons are hung, the volunteer schedule is filling up, and I can't help but believe we are about to see a miracle unfold as we kick off KLRC's fall fundraiser.
Hi this is Mark from the KLRC Morning Show.
One of the best parts of my job is getting to hear stories from listeners just like you! Many of those stories come from meeting listeners at events, talking on phone, or even through letters like the one we heard from Greg, a listener in one of our new Oklahoma communities.
Hi, this is Ansen from the Drive-Home!
When you support KLRC, God is using your gifts to truly make a Positive Difference.
Hi, this is Keri from the KLRC Morning Show. When you support KLRC, God is using your gifts to truly make a positive difference... just like fellow mom, Kyla.
"KLRC has affected my life change! I love being able to turn on the radio and not worry about what might come across the speakers! With 3 little girls in this world today, it's so hard to raise them the way God wants me to when they are exposed to so much beyond my control!!! Our family is thankful for KLRC and my girls can sing along and that's the sweetest sound!"
If I could ask you to name one of your biggest highlights from the past month, how would you respond? Was it a Spring break trip with the family? Maybe God taught you something new through your church or small group? Or, maybe you just discovered that you will be getting a refund on your taxes!
For us, the highlight was most definitely watching God work through you during our annual Sharathon, which kicked off three weeks ago today. The days immediately following Sharathon are always a bit of a blur for us as we work almost around the clock to send thank you letters, take care of data entry needs, and verify pledges. Now that a few weeks have passed, I’m getting a chance to go back and soak in all that God did during that very special week.
There are so many people who help make Sharathon possible! Of course there's the phone and prayer volunteers, and all of the amazing listeners that call in to join KLRC's financial support team!
But there's also many local businesses who donate meals, snacks, drinks, prizes, and so much more! We'd like to say a heartfelt thanks to the following...
Sharathon 2014 is now in the books! I know I speak for the whole team here in expressing our deepest gratitude to all 2,104 of you from 13 states who gave so generously to help fund this ministry.
Thanks to you, we're around 83% funded for another year of sharing hope here at KLRC! Our current total is $746,290 of the $900,000 goal.
Our final full day of Sharathon is now in the books and we are so grateful to almost 2,000 of you for pledging your support. Thanks to you, we're almost 80% funded for Sharathon.
While we celebrate how far we’ve come, we’re also facing a bigger hurdle than we've ever faced in the final 3 hours of Sharathon in order to finish off the remaining 20%.
