NWA Food Bank

This month during Pay it Forward we will be joining together to fill the shelves at the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank!

We all know that when cold weather and the holiday season comes there are a lot more families in our community who struggle with food insecurity. Let’s join together to make sure that our neighbors are well cared for this November!

If we could have coffee today, I’d say, “God will never give up on us.”

One day, memories of a stunning series of failures in my life began playing like a bad home movie in my mind. Have you ever had that happen? This script usually goes like this: “You can’t be used by God. God is going to lose patience with you.” Or even, “You don’t deserve to be loved.”

When we think of prayer, our default, for better or for worse, is that we tend to ask God for things. Fortunately, he is a loving Father who loves it when His children come to Him with all kinds of requests.

But prayer is so much more than that. The apostle Paul models it for us in chapter 3 of Ephesians. Paul’s prayer for others is that they’d be rooted and established in love. Yes! Let’s pray this for each other. Let’s pray this for our children, our leaders, and for everyone we know.

Hearts Full of Gratitude

Wow! Our hearts are so full. Truly, we are in awe at how God worked through you this week to not only meet and exceed the operational needs for KLRC, but also to help put hands and feet to a vision that God has given us to reach more people than ever before with the hope of Jesus!

An Update from Sean

Wow! We didn't even get to the end of the second full day of our fall fundraiser before the goal was hit! More than 900 of you have responded so generously that we are fully funded a full day early. We are in awe of what God has done through you this week!

With the operational needs fully covered through March, we want to share a really special opportunity with you.  Over the last year, our team has been seeking God about the direction He wants to take His ministry of KLRC in the next few years.  Our mission at KLRC is to share hope in Christ with as many people as possible.  As we pray, dream and plan about the future, we feel like God is leading us to focus on some very tangible ways He might reach even more with the hope found only in His Son, Jesus.

KLRC's Fall Fundraiser

As we prepared for our fundraiser last spring, we determined the listener portion of our budget for 2017 to be $1,160,000.

Thanks to your generous giving during the Spring Fundraiser, KLRC ended that event at $830,000 towards our overall annual goal! That leaves us with a funding need this fall of about $330,000.

Faithful in Prayer

"Hi, this is Tyler. I’m haying my parent’s field right now listening to KLRC and I have to tell you what just happened."

When I answered the phone that morning, I had no idea who would be on the line. It was 18 year-old Tyler. A new firefighter who loves his job. A son who helps his parents out on the farm. A young man who was just diagnosed with glaucoma.

Help Feed Hungry Kids!

For the KLRC Fall Fundraiser, we’re excited to invite you to Be the Change in our community through KLRC, and around the world too!

For each new $30/mo. (or more) gift given to the KLRC Fall Fundraiser, our friends at Tacos 4 Life will provide a month’s worth of meals through Feed My Starving Children in your honor.

The KLRC Prayer Team

This past summer, our KLRC staff studied a book on prayer, and the author made the statement that, "When Jesus hears unified prayer, his heart soars like a music lover taking in a symphony." As we get ready for the "Be the Change" Fall Fundraiser, we believe one of the most important things we can do is pray... together. Like a beautiful symphony!
