Paul writes in Philippians 4, “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation." What’s the secret? The secret is found in a close relationship with Christ.
“I can do all things through him who gives me strength.” That's a verse wrapped in the context of a challenging time. Part of the challenge in adversity is learning to manage yourself when there’s no money to manage!
The truth is, "The Lord is near. Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard you hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
God sometimes uses financial pressure to get our attention so that we turn our hearts to Heaven, which increases our faith, builds character, and leads to hope.
So when facing adversity, remember... God loves you and has promised to take care of you! Draw close to Him and He will give you his peace and strength to make it through!
