Summer is officially here! And you know what that means – kids are bored. Already (sigh). What’s a parent to do? I don’t know about you, but every summer when my kids were little I had the best intentions of making the most of those summer moments. And then, life happens and each day looked the same as the one before.
Well, we want to help. What if this summer we committed to go “All In” together with our kids? These summer days won’t last forever, so let make the most of them.
For the first few weeks of summer we’ll be sharing a lot of fun ways you can play, learn, and serve with your kids. We’ve even created a way that you can connect with other parents and share ideas that your family loves.
The first week of June let’s find some ways to turn off the screens and play together. Check out the KLRC Summer Fun Pinterest Page for some ideas, or join the community discussions happening on the KLRC “All In With Our Kids” Facebook group.
The second week of June we’ll have some fun ways to learn together. Science experiments, Bible lessons, and other fun things you can do to learn something new together.
The third week of June we’ll look at some ways that we can serve together as a family. Whether you choose to connect with a local non-profit or help a neighbor, we’ll share some great ways your family can serve this summer.
Bonus: If you’d really like to focus on going All In with your kids this summer, join us for tech free nights. Your family can pick one or two nights a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) to be tech free! Instead of spending time with technology, pick an activity that the whole family can do together. (Warning: tech free nights are often harder for parents than kids!)
Win stuff! What’s summer fun without prizes? If you’re joining us this summer let us know and you could win some fun stuff for you and your family. You can register to win just be sharing with us how your family is going “All In” this summer!
