Redemption: The No Kill Revolution In America
Nathan Winograd, well-known animal rights activist, will be touring this summer across the U.S. to screen his film, Redemption: The No Kill Revolution in America, a film based on his groundbreaking book of the same title. His No Kill Is Love Tour, comes to Northwest Arkansas on Saturday, August 23, and will feature a screening of the film at the Jones Center Auditorium in Springdale, Arkansas. The event will include a presentation by Winograd on how to build a No Kill Community. Redemption tells the story of animal sheltering in the United States – a movement that was born of compassion and then lost its way. “But there is hope,” Winograd explains. “Over the last several years, progressive communities across the country have put into place a series of innovative programs and services that have ended the killing of homeless companion animals in their communities. A graduate of Stanford Law School, a former criminal prosecutor and corporate attorney, Nathan Winograd has spent the last 20 years at the forefront of the No Kill movement, dedicated to ending the killing of adoptable animals in shelters. He has created No Kill programs in both urban and rural communities. He is currently director of the No Kill Advocacy Center and speaks nationally and internationally on animal sheltering issues.
