Mission:  To build a stronger Northwest Arkansas by identifying and prioritizing needs around education, income and health, then mobilizing resources to effectively meet them.

About:  Everyone deserves opportunities to have a good life:  a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health.  That’s why United Way’s work is focused on the building blocks for a good life:

Education - Children and Youth achieve their potential
Income - Families become financially stable and independent
Health - People’s health and safety is improved

Advancing the good of all is less about helping one person at a time and more about changing systems to help all of us.  We are all connected and interdependent.  We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, when people are healthy.  United Way’s goal is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of these problems.  Living united means being a part of the change.  It takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future.  Give.  Advocate.  Volunteer.  Live United.

Volunteer Opportunities: United Way of Northwest Arkansas’ Volunteer website serves our community by connecting volunteers with volunteer opportunities in our area. Find an ongoing or special event volunteer opportunity by using our search option on our website. Be sure to create a volunteer profile if you’d like us to notify you of new and special volunteer opportunities that match the interest you specify. If you have any questions you can e-mail us or contact us by phone at 479-750-1221.
