About Ansen
Ansen Bayer grew up in Topeka, KS, and got his start in broadcasting as a kid by producing his own "radio shows" using the tape recorder in his bedroom. Those humble beginnings eventually led Ansen to John Brown University, where Ansen enrolled in broadcasting with an aim to get into TV news. However, he started working at KLRC as a student in '05, and re-discovered his love for radio.
Ansen married his wife, Amandria, and graduated from JBU in '08. Shortly afterward, he was hired full-time by KLRC as the Drive-Home Host and Director of New Media.
Outside of radio, Ansen is an avid sports fan. He obsesses over Kansas State athletics and Indycar Racing, and wishes the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals would be more competitive. Ansen also loves music; he plays piano, guitar, and drums.
